# Changelog Source: https://granola.ai/docs/changelog Latest updates and improvements # v5.280.0 (2025-03-06) * **Multi-tasking**: You can now browse your Granola workspace while transcribing a meeting. A new indicator below the search bar shows which meeting is being transcribed. # v5.273.0 (2025-02-27) * The app shows which microphone it's using for transcription. * Internal improvements to audio capture, transcription and summary generation. # v5.267.0 (2025-02-20) * You can now drag the floating live meeting indicator to a preferred spot on your screen. * We’ve reworked some code and you should see snappier performance during quick interactions. * **Bugfix:** If you lose system audio connection (e.g., unplugging an external monitor), Granola now restarts audio capture automatically to keep transcription going. # v5.263.0 (2025-02-18) * We’ve made it easier for Business users to move to an Enterprise plan with on-screen guidance. * Previously, if you deleted all text in your enhanced summary, Granola would jump back to your raw notes view. Now you can keep an empty summary or retype as you wish. * Granola’s notifications will appear above your system’s alerts so you’re less likely to miss transcription prompts. * **Bugfix:** Fixed an issue where refreshing the page mid-transcription could break the audio capture. Now transcription resumes gracefully, even if you reload the window. # v5.256.0 (2025-02-13) * We now display a brief reminder to request consent before transcribing a call. It’s always visible in the transcript view so you don’t forget best practices. * Organizations can self-serve an upgrade to Enterprise from within the app (if applicable to your account). * Enterprise admins can now opt out of model training for all data in your workspace. * Fixed some subtitle text color/size issues for better readability. # v5.248.0 (2025-02-11) No changes recorded. # v5.242.0 (2025-02-06) * Sidebar AI chat now knows about related meetings * Shift+Enter in chat now adds a newline instead sending the message * Internal improvement: Prepare app to connect to `api.granola.ai` instead of `*.lambda-url.us-east-1.on.aws` # v5.239.0 (2025-02-05) * Reduce unnecessary calendar refreshes requests ## 5.236.0 (2025-02-03) * **Improved performance** of detecting when your calls start and stop * **Improved performance** of saving transcripts * **Bugfix:** the "Coming up" screen now shows fewer events by default when you have no notes ## 5.226.0 (2025-01-28) * You can now make feature requests in app. Go to Settings -> Bug report and choose the "Feature request" tab * **Bug fix:** Fix networking errors that some users were experiencing * **Bug fix:** Users who are on an older version of MacOS will now see a screen informing them that they need to upgrade to user Granola instead of a loading spinner that never finishes * **Bug fix:** Hubspot banner styling in dark mode * **Bug fix:** Disable Slack sharing button for notes without shareable links to prevent sharing titles without access ## 5.208.0 (2025-01-16) * **Improved AI chat during your meeting:** * Answers are more concise * Suggested questions are more relevant * The model will focus on recent transcript * **Updated keyboard shortcuts:** Use ⌘ + J to toggle the sidebar * **Bug fix:** you shouldn't get notifications when you're logged out * **Bug fix:** many long-running `lsof` processes ## 5.175.0 (2024-12-20) No changes recorded. ## 5.167.0 No changes recorded. # Creating templates Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/101/afteryourmeeting/Usingtemplates Create your own templates or choose from our library for recurrent meeting types Templates in Granola are a nifty way to make sure your notes are returned consistently in the most helpful way for you. ### Accessing the templates feature: Open your Granola app and navigate to the “Enhance” menu within your notes. This is where all your templates and enhancements can be managed. There's a built in library of common meeting types for you to start with, or to be inspired by. ![title](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/gifs/livet2.gif) ### Creating a new template: * In the “Enhance” menu, click on “All Templates.” * Select “Create Template” to start a new template document. ### Designing your template * Start by writing a description of the purpose of the meeting, you might want to put specific instructions about the level of detail you want ("Include quotes, numbers and data wherever mentioned", or a description of the meeting, "This is a user interview, I am trying to understand what the user thinks about my product, Granola, an AI note-taking tool for meetings") * Then outline the structure which is the most useful for your meetings. Common elements might include: * Key Discussion Points * Decisions Made * Action Items or Follow-ups * Of course, you can also be much more specific with your headers. A user interview template for Granola might include * What are their current note taking tools? * How do they share their notes? * Who introduced Granola to the team and how did they share it? ### Applying templates to meetings * Once created, templates can be applied to any future meetings, which will let you have more focused note taking during the meeting. ### Sharing templates with your team * You can share templates with your team so you can all benefit from consistent notes. Just go to the template's page and click where it says "Private to me", and change to "Shared with \[your company]" This will share your template with anyone using Granola who has the same company domain as you, so be certain you want everyone to have access to it before sharing it. ![](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/docs/101/afteryourmeeting/Screenshot2024-12-17at13.26.28.png) ### **Best practices** * Test your templates to ensure they meet all your needs during a meeting. Adjust as needed to improve workflow and efficiency. * Share templates with team members to maintain uniformity in notes across your organization. # Editing your enhanced notes Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/101/afteryourmeeting/editing-your-enhanced-notes Everything you can do to your meeting notes to make them great ### What happens when I finish a call? Once Granola [recognises that a call has ended](/docs/101/duringyourmeeting/live-transcription#when-does-transcription-end), it will automatically enhance your notes using the default format. This format is designed to create the best possible notes without the additional context of a custom template. If you have typed your own notes, the enhanced notes will be both grey and black. The black notes are notes that have been brought through from your own notes, and the grey notes are notes that have been added by Granola. ![Your notes vs Granola's](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/screenshots/black-grey.png) ### Understanding where the enhanced notes come from Because LLMs aren't always reliable, Granola includes three features to help you investigate your enhanced notes to feel confident in them: 1. Use the magnifying glass beside each note to see where in the transcript or raw notes the note came from 2. Use Ask Granola (cmnd+K) to pull out quotes from the transcript that support the point you're investigating ### Editing your notes after they've been enhanced Even after Granola has generated your meeting notes, you can still change them, either by editing the enhanced notes directly, or by returning to the raw notes and editing them there, before re-enhancing them. * #### Editing the enhanced notes directly * You can just directly click on any note and edit it. If a note was grey because it was added by Granola, it will turn black to show that you authored it. * #### Editing the raw notes * You can also return to the raw notes and edit them there, before re-enhancing them. Be careful though, this will completely regenerate the enhanced notes, so if you have made any changes to the enhanced notes, they will be lost. ![My notes vs Granola's](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/screenshots/my-notes.png) ### Next Steps * For recurring meeting types (like standups, 1:1s), see [Using Templates](/docs/101/afteryourmeeting/using-templates). * Want to share your notes? Check out [Sharing](/docs/101/afteryourmeeting/sharing). # Ask Granola about multiple meetings Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/101/afteryourmeeting/multi-meeting-chat Ask questions and get insights across multiple meetings at once Multi-Meeting Chat allows you to ask questions and get insights across multiple meetings at once. This powerful feature helps you connect information, track progress, and discover patterns across your meeting history. ![title](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/gifs/MultiMeetHow.gif) ### Accessing Multi-Meeting Chat You can access Multi-Meeting Chat in two ways: 1. Search Results: When you search for a person, company, or topic, you'll see a chat interface at the top of your search results. This lets you ask questions about all the meetings in your search results. 2. Lists (COMING SOON): When viewing a list of meetings (such as User Calls, Sales, or VC Deal Flow), you can use the chat interface to ask questions about all meetings in that list. ### Key features #### Context awareness When using Multi-Meeting Chat, the system shows you which meetings are included in the context. By default, it uses up to 10 of your most recent meetings in the current view. #### Citations Responses include citations that link back to the specific meetings where information was found. You can click on these citations to jump directly to the referenced meeting. #### Concise responses By default, Multi-Meeting Chat should provide concise, focused answers. If you need more detailed information, you can use the "Tell me more" option to expand on the initial response. #### Tips for effective use * Be specific: Ask targeted questions to get more precise answers * Start broad, then narrow: Begin with general questions and then drill down into specifics * Use follow-up questions: Build on previous answers to explore topics in more depth * Try different perspectives: Ask about patterns, changes over time, or comparisons between meetings Here are some simple introductory questions you could ask: * #### Client Management "Summarize our relationship with this client over the past 3 months" "What commitments have we made to this client that we need to follow up on?" "What concerns has this client raised about our product?" * #### 1:1 Meetings "What topics have I discussed with this person in our recent 1:1s?" "What feedback have I given this team member over our last few meetings?" "What goals or action items have we set in our previous conversations?" #### Performance considerations Responses may take a few seconds to generate, especially when analyzing many meetings. The system is optimized to provide the most relevant information while balancing speed and thoroughness. #### More advanced querying Once you've mastered simple retrieval, you can use more complex queries to get even more useful output and insights. Some things we've tried in Granola: * "How could we improve our pitch?" * "Write the help documentation for this feature" * "Write a marketing page for our enterprise plan designed to counter common questions in sales calls" * "How has our relationship with this client evolved over the past 6 months?" * "Is there anything I should be concerned about in recent standups?" * "Write the script for the Loom video I'm recording next" #### Feedback We're continuously improving Multi-meeting Chat based on your feedback. If you have suggestions or encounter any issues, please let us know through the feedback option in the app. # Power user tips Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/101/afteryourmeeting/power-user-tips Your guide to getting the most out of Granola Granola is more than just a transcription tool—it’s an **AI-powered meeting companion** that saves you time, captures crucial details, and organizes all those scattered notes into coherent summaries. Whether you’re new to Granola or already love it, here are some **advanced tips** to help you get the best from the tool: *** ## 1. Set everything up before you start ### ✅ Make sure Granola has context * Granola works best when it knows a bit more about you. Ensure your Google Calendar is [properly connected](https://www.granola.ai/docs/docs/101/gettingstarted/calendarintegrations#first-time-setup). * Double-check that the events you actually want to transcribe are visible in **Settings → Coming Up.** * Fill out your profile with key details—like your role and areas of focus—so Granola can provide more relevant insights. ![Granola Profile](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/screenshots/profile2.png) **Remember**: Not every meeting is in your calendar! Use the **New Note** button to manually start transcription for Slack huddles, ad-hoc meetings, and impromptu calls. ### Check your system audio settings * Granola uses your Mac's system audio to transcribe meetings, and follows your default settings. * Make sure your microphone and speakers are set to the correct input and output. **Pro Tip**: Turning your mic input volume all the way up will help Granola transcribe better. ### Manually open the notes to start transcribing * Start your meeting notes by tapping on the Granola notification or by clicking the New Note button Granola will never [start transcribing](https://www.granola.ai/docs/docs/101/duringyourmeeting/live-transcription#when-does-transcription-begin) automatically. * If you click out of the set of notes, transcription will stop and you'll have to manually resume it when you reopen the notes. *** ## 2. During the meeting: stay engaged! (Granola’s got your back!) ### Take quick notes for extra precision Even if you don’t type a single note, Granola will generate a summary. But for even better results: * **Jot down key points** (decisions, action items, standout quotes). * **Use simple bullet points**—Granola blends them into your enhanced notes. * **Add in your thoughts** that might not make it into the transcript: e.g. reflections on the meeting, your opinions and feedback. ### Use “Ask Granola” to catch up instantly Got distracted? Need a recap? Granola’s built-in AI chat [helps you mid-meeting](https://www.granola.ai/docs/docs/101/duringyourmeeting/live-transcription#how-can-i-query-a-live-meeting). Open the sidebar or use the `CMD+J` shortcut. Click **“What did I miss?”** for a quick summary. Other useful prompts: * “Suggest questions for me to ask” * “Summarize the last 5 minutes.” * “List all decisions made so far.” **Heads-up:** Chat history disappears once you close it—so **copy important insights into your notes!** ![Ask Granola](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/screenshots/ask-granola.png) *** ## 3. After the meeting: enhance & share ### Enhance your notes in one click Once the meeting ends, Granola automatically enhances your notes by merging your typed notes (black) with the AI summary (gray). * **Edit freely**—anything you change will turn black to show it’s your input. * [**Apply a template**](https://www.granola.ai/docs/docs/101/afteryourmeeting/Usingtemplates) afterward to add structure. * **Re-enhance** if you forgot to include something or if you're not happy with the result. ![templates](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/screenshots/templates.png) ### Share notes instantly * Click **Share → Create Link** to generate a public URL for your team. * **Post directly to Slack** for async updates. * **Sync with your CRM** (Affinity, HubSpot, and more coming soon!). **Privacy Tip:** You can [disable sharing links anytime](https://www.granola.ai/docs/docs/101/afteryourmeeting/sharing#turning-off-sharing-links-by-default) in **Settings** if needed. *** ## 4. Hidden gems & pro tips 💎 ### 🔍 Zoom In for More Context Click the **magnifying glass 🔍** next to a note to see **exactly where in the transcript** it came from. Perfect for verifying key takeaways. ### Boost Transcription Accuracy For **crystal-clear transcripts**, make sure to: * Set your Mac’s mic input to max. * Use a headset in noisy environments. * Avoid super long calls (5+ hours) or split them into segments. ### Upcoming: Mobile & More Integrations! We’re working on an [**iOS app**](https://www.granola.ai/app) for in-person meeting notes and adding integrations with **Zapier & Notion** next. You can sign up to be the first to hear about when we release new features by joining the waitlists for [Windows](https://tally.so/r/3EXKgL?utm_source=blog), [new languages](https://tally.so/r/mDAZlZ) and [Outlook support](https://tally.so/r/wzWb78). *** ## 5. Try It Out in Your Next Meeting! These tips will help you level up your workflow and save hours. For more tips, tricks and advice, check out the rest of our documentation [here](https://www.granola.ai/docs/docs/101/gettingstarted/quickstart) If you have a feature request or feedback send us a message through the Feedback section in the app settings or drop by our [Slack community](https://go.granola.so/slack). **Happy note-taking! 🎉** # Sharing your notes Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/101/afteryourmeeting/sharing How to get your notes out into the world - or not. After you've generated your notes with Granola, you can share them in a few different ways: ![sharing options](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/sharingoptions.png) * **Copy link** will copy a unique URL link to the meeting notes, which you can send to others. You can [edit the access to the link](/docs/FAQs/sharing-controls) by clicking the dropdown. * **Copy text** will copy the whole note onto your clipboard * **Email** will open a gmail draft with the note contents copied in * **Our Slack, Notion, Hubspot and Affinity integrations** can be used to share a note to those platforms Granola prioritizes your privacy, and does not auto-share your notes to attendees. ### What does someone else see? Anyone you share to can: 1. Read the note 2. Hover over a particular point to get more context from the transcript 3. "Ask Granola" more questions about the meeting ![sharing web view](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/sharingwebview.png) ### How can I turn off sharing links for myself or my organisation? You can disable the link for each note individually via the dropdown, or for all notes in your account settings. Enterprise customers can control this for their whole organisation. [See how to control sharing link access here.](/docs/FAQs/sharing-controls) # Automatic Consent Messaging Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/101/duringyourmeeting/chat-consent Turn this feature on to automatically share a consent message in Meet and Zoom. Depending on your location, [you may have a legal obligation](/docs/FAQs/consent-granola) to inform attendees that you’re recording or transcribing a call. Granola offers a way to automatically share a message with the participants of your meeting using the inbuilt chat function in Meet and Zoom. ### Setting Consent Messaging up If you navigate to the settings tab in Granola, navigate to the Labs tab and find the "Let others know you're using Granola" toggle ![consentmessage](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/screenshots/labs-consent.png) When you toggle it on for the first time, a security dialog will pop up with the quite scary request to "control your computer" ![consentmessage](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/consent2.png) This feature requires that we can control which window is foregrounded and run some related processes in the background. This is the only part of Granola that requires this permission, we do not use it elsewhere in the app. ![consentmessage](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/consent1-2.png) Once you've granted this permission, you'll see a text entry box. You can either use our default consent notice, or write your own. Now, every time you have a meeting in Google Meet or Zoom, your consent message will automatically send in the chat window of your meeting. ![consentmessage](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/consent-message.png) These features do not substitute for your responsibility to follow local regulations or company policy. Always check your relevant laws or talk to your legal team to ensure compliance. ### Quick FAQ * **Are we storing audio?**\ Granola doesn't store audio, only the transcript. * **What triggers the message to send?** This automated message sends when: * Transcription has already started and recorded some transcription * The video call window is 'in focus' - i.e. you've clicked on it * **Is the transcript accessible to others automatically?**\ No, your notes remain private unless you create or enable sharing links. Learn more about transcription in [Live Transcription](/docs/101/duringyourmeeting/live-transcription). Or see [Troubleshooting](/docs/troubleshooting) if you have issues with auto-consent messages or call detection. ## Troubleshooting ### Loom Confetti If you have Loom running when you're on Granola, it will break this functionality unless you switch off the keyboard shortcut for confetti. Open up the Loom widget and click on the three dots to open the settings. ![consentmessage](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/loom-settings.png) Open up Preferences and x out of the keyboard shortcut for confetti ![consentmessage](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/loom-gif.gif) ### Message isn't sending right at the start of a meeting This automated message sends when: * Transcription has already started and recorded some transcription * The video call window is 'in focus' - i.e. you've clicked on it This therefore means that the message may appear slightly later into the call, if not much is said at the start or if you're focussed on another window # Understanding transcription Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/101/duringyourmeeting/live-transcription Everything you need to know about Granola's live transcription tool ### How Granola captures transcription Granola passes audio directly from your microphone and system audio to our transcription provider for the purpose of transcription. It does not record or save audio or video at any point during the call. ### When does transcription begin? For a calendar event, Granola begins transcribing only when you have opened a set of meeting notes, and only from the start time of the calendar event. You can choose to start transcription manually if you want to start it earlier. It does not auto-transcribe any call without you manually clicking into it, either through the notification that pops up, or from the home screen. If you have an impromptu meeting that is not attached to a calendar event, such a Slack huddle, transcription will begin as soon as you open the set of notes, or click on the impromptu meeting notification. ### Dancing bars The green dancing bars show when Granola is actively transcribing.
![Dancing bars](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/Dancingbars.png)
If your network connection drops or Granola detects silence for too long, transcription may stop. You can resume transcription and open the live transcript window to check that it's working again. ### When does transcription end? Transcription ends under these circumstances: * You exit out of your set of notes (the notes must be open to ensure transcription) * You manually end the transcription by clicking the stop button * Granola automatically recognises that the meeting has ended * Granola identifies that there has been a long period of silence ### Resuming transcription If your transcription has ended, you can resume it by opening the transcription window and clicking resume in the top right hand corner. ![resuming transcription](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/SCR-20241213-nhru.png) ### Viewing the transcript Open your live transcript at any time during the meeting by clicking the "dancing bars" icon. This lets you: * See what's being captured in real-time * Verify audio is working correctly * Review recent discussion points The live transcription may not be 100% accurate, but the quality of the notes shouldn't be affected by what you see being generated live, as long as it's picking up both mic and system audio. ### Exporting the transcript You can copy/paste the transcript to another platform by opening the transcript and clicking on the clipboard button. ![transcript export](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/transcriptexport.png) ### Speaker identification system  The speaker identification system in Granola uses advanced algorithms to differentiate between voices. Although it does not log speaker information explicitly, it does its best to maintain accuracy in identifying turn-taking and dialogue splits within the transcription output. We provide additional tools once the meeting has ended to help you feel confident in Granola's output. ### In-person meetings Granola works remarkably well for in-person meetings, but because the app uses system audio, the transcript will register everyone as just one person speaking, so it is a less reliable feature. However, while processing, Granola is fairly good at identifying who has spoken, and so the notes are still great - although if you want to help Granola out, you can be sure to use peoples' names during the call. We're building an ios app that's designed for in-person meetings and has enhanced voice recognition and diarization functionality, [**join the waitlist here**](https://www.granola.ai/app). ### Calendar meetings vs impromptu meetings Granola recognizes two types of meetings: * **Calendar meetings** are attached to an event in your calendar, they contain context about the meeting like the date, time, and attendees. You'll receive a notification for these meetings as long as your calendar is properly integrated. * **Impromptu meetings** are not attached to a calendar event, they are ad-hoc meetings that you may have, like a Slack huddle, or in-person with a colleague. Granola recognizes these meetings by noticing that your Mac is accessing your microphone, and will send a notification to open Granola. You can decide which meetings platforms Granola sends notifications for in the notifications tab under settings. Just toggle off the platforms you don't want notifications for, like FaceTime or WhatsApp. ### How can I query a live meeting? Use cmnd+J to open the Ask Granola sidebar and ask questions of the transcript up til the point you're asking. It can help you catch up on missed details or inform a question you need to ask. Sample questions might be: * "In bullet points, what did I just miss?" * "What did David say about SOC2 compliance at the start of the meeting?" * "Can you list all the actions I've agreed to take in this meeting so far?" When you use the in-meeting "Ask Granola" sidebar note that **the chat does not persist** if you close the note or switch away. The conversation is ephemeral and **not** saved in the final enhanced notes. **Tip**: If you want to keep a record of an important Q\&A response, copy/paste it into your typed notes before you exit the meeting view. ### Common Transcription Issues  Several issues can impact the quality and timeliness of Granola's transcription: * **Quiet microphone input**: If Granola is failing to pick up what you're saying correctly, make sure your mic input volume is set to maximum through your computer's system audio settings. * **Delayed transcripts**: This can happen if there are temporary disconnects or slow internet speeds affecting the transcription feed's processing time * **Intermittent transcription stops**: This may occur due to hardware conflicts or system resource limitations on your computer. Check your system audio settings are correct, that you're not accessing Granola through a restrictive VPN or that your company's IT system isn't too limited. * **Linguistic accuracy**: When meetings are conducted in multiple languages or accents not supported by the current version of Granola, transcription may not accurately capture the dialogue To make sure your transcription is being captured accurately, open up the transcription box during the call, and keep Granola as a sidebar during your call. ### FAQs Our system uses system audio and microphone audio to distinguish between speakers ("me" vs "them") without needing a meeting bot in your calls. As a result, your transcripts will only distinguish between audio that comes from your mic vs your system audio and real-time speaker identification remains technically challenging. We offer two tools to help you get the information you need from the transcripts: * A zoom in function in your enhanced notes for detailed transcript review * An Ask Granola chat for transcript analysis and information retrieval While speaker identification works better in post-processing, live identification is more complex. Though this technology is advancing quickly, implementation depends on industry-wide progress. For now, we're focusing on providing reliable live transcription and useful analysis tools. We expect both the technology and Granola's transcription to improve rapidly. Granola does not record or store audio or video of your meetings. We pass your audio through to our transcription service and receive the transcription back. At no point is there an accessible audio file from your meetings. We're working on a bug which means that transcriptions fails when you access Granola through a VPN, on some managed computers or with some complex audio/mic setups. Please email [hey@granola.so](mailto:hey@granola.so) with your bug report to help us fix this. Let us know: * Are you using a VPN? * Are you on a managed laptop? * Can you confirm that transcription began? (Did you open the transcription box and see that it was capturing your words?) * Do you have an external mic / complex audio set up? We don't enforce a limit on the length of the transcript, but the notes won't enhance if the transcription is too long. We don't know exactly how long is too long because it's measured by tokens, not minutes, but we recommend manually ending transcription and opening another note to continue if your meeting goes on for longer than two hours. Right now that's not possible on Granola, although we recognise that it could be a very useful feature! Workarounds include editing your raw notes to include the correction and editing the final enhanced notes to ensure everything is accurate. # Taking notes during meetings Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/101/duringyourmeeting/note-taking-tools Use Granola's note editor and formatting to get the best final notes Granola captures the transcript automatically, but your own notes can guide the AI. Here’s how. ### 1. Open the note editor Once your meeting starts in Granola, you’ll see the **Note Editor** pane. It’s a blank canvas. Use it to type: * **Key points**: “Project deadlines: next Tuesday” * **Headers**: Type `# Agenda`, `# Key Moments`, etc. * **Bullet points**: Use `-` or `*` for bullets. * **Bold**: `**important**` * **Italic**: `*emphasis*` ### 2. Why add your own notes? 1. **Highlight** big moments or decisions. 2. **Header Tags** help Granola structure the final “enhanced” notes. 3. **Bullets** help Granola capture key important details that matter to you ### 3. Formatting tips * **Keyboard shortcuts**: cmd + B for bold, cmd + I for italics. * **Headers**: `#` to create a header (these will be carried through to your enhanced notes) * **Typos and abbreviations**: don't really matter, Granola will understand and fixthem. You do not have to write any notes for Granola to work. The transcript alone will produce a great summary. But typed notes can significantly improve final results! ### 4. Adding images If you screenshot something relevant, drag it into the Granola note editor. We won’t embed the image in your final text, but the AI will see it for context. That means your enhanced notes can reflect that screenshot’s content. (We only support JPG or PNG for now.) Check out [Generating Your Notes](/docs/101/afteryourmeeting/generating-your-notes) to see how your typed notes get blended with the transcript. ### Viewing Previous Notes During a Live Meeting Currently, Granola supports **one active meeting note window** at a time, which means you can’t open a second window to reference older notes without ending or pausing your current transcription. As a workaround, you can: * Copy/paste relevant excerpts from old notes into the current note if you need context. * Use the “Related Meetings” section (scroll down) to see quick references, though opening them fully will pause your current transcription. We know multiple simultaneous note windows is a popular request and we’re actively exploring it. # Integrating your calendar Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/101/gettingstarted/calendarintegrations Make sure Granola has all the information it needs to work well! Granola seamlessly integrates with Google Calendar to display your upcoming meetings. Granola integrates with your calendar so that it can: 1. Send notifications reminding you to join meetings and take notes 2. Use context from calendar events to ensure your meeting notes are useful to you 3. Create a blank note for future events to prep and add notes ahead of a meeting ![Coming up](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/comingup.png) ### **First-time setup** * Sign in to Granola using your Google Workspace account. * When prompted, grant the necessary calendar access permissions. * Allow a few seconds for your meetings to sync. * Verify the sync by checking your "Coming Up" section: ![Settings cog](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/settings-cog.png) ### **Support for multiple calendars** Granola only supports multiple calendars through your primary account. To set this up: 1. [Share additional calendars](https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/37082?hl=en) with your primary Google account, such that the events sync into there 2. In Granola, click the settings cog next to "Coming Up" 3. Toggle visibility for your additional calendars If you're experiencing calendar visibility issues, first check your calendar settings in Granola. Sometimes the app may default to the wrong calendar if you have multiple ones shared with your account. ### **Working with Outlook** While Granola is optimized for Google Calendar, you can join [this waiting list](https://tally.so/r/wzWb78) to be the first to hear about an Outlook integration - until then, Outlook users can use a workaround: * **Outlook integration steps:** 1. Link your [Outlook calendar to Google Calendar](https://www.granola.ai/docs/docs/integrations/using-granola-with-outlook#outlook-calendar). 2. Use Granola with your Google account. 3. Meetings should now appear from both calendars. *Note:* This workaround's success may depend on your organization's IT policies. ### **Common calendar issues** * **No Events Showing:** If no meetings are visible, 1. Check if the wrong calendar is selected by default. 2. Verify your primary calendar is selected under "Coming Up". 3. Toggle other calendars as needed. * **Calendar sync problems:** If you're experiencing sync issues, 1. Ensure you are using the latest version of Granola. 2. Double-check calendar permissions in Google. 3. Consider signing out and back in. 4. Contact support at [hey@granola.so](mailto:hey@granola.so) if problems persist. * **IT restrictions:** Check if internal security settings affect your calendar integration by: 1. Consulting your IT department about third-party calendar access. 2. Verifying VPN settings that might impact connection. 3. Requesting necessary permissions if required. ### **Best practices:** * **Regular Checks:** Regularly verify if your calendar is syncing correctly. * **Setup Tips:** 1. Use your main work calendar as default. 2. Only turn on the calendars you actively need. For additional support or inquiries, feel free to reach out at [hey@granola.so](mailto:hey@granola.so) or join our [Slack community](https://join.slack.com/t/meetgranola/shared_invite/zt-2xz7jrj8i-oRsr_dtS15VDlruZNMAN6w). If juggling multiple calendars, set your most-used calendar as primary in Granola so that you never miss a vital meeting notification. ### FAQs For now, Granola primarily relies on online integrations but recognises that this is a limitation for users with restricted online calendar access due to company policies. We're interested in exploring the use of local calendars, but this feature is not yet part of the current functionality. Not yet, but if you share your [gmail calendars](https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/37082?hl=en) with each other, you can access all your events from one Granola account. Some organization's IT policies won't allow this, so check with your IT administrator first of all. If you quit Granola completely by tapping on the small Granola g in the top bar across your screen, and reopen it, you'll be prompted to give calendar permission again when you log back in. First check that you've given Granola the right permissions. If you log out, then quit Granola completely by tapping on the small Granola g in the top bar across your screen, you'll be prompted to give calendar permissions again when you log back in. If your calendar permissions are set up correctly, make sure your company's IT policy allows for calendar integrations into apps, and that the VPN you're on isn't restricting access in any way. If the problem still persists, report a bug through the Granola settings window. Ensure you’ve granted all necessary permissions for Granola to access your calendar. Double-check that your account settings in Granola are linked correctly. Reach out to support if issues persist\[4]. ### # Quickstart Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/101/gettingstarted/quickstart A rapid-fire guide to start using Granola > **Welcome!** This quickstart guide will get you up and running with Granola in minutes. > If you’re looking for more detail, check out the other docs in **Getting Started**. ### Step 1: Download and install 1. **Go to the [Granola website](https://www.granola.ai)**\ Click **Download Granola for Mac**. 2. **Open the Granola.dmg**\ In your **Downloads** folder, double-click `Granola.dmg`. We’re thrilled to have you on board! # Setting your account up Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/101/gettingstarted/settingyouraccountup How to install and set up Granola Welcome to Granola! This guide will take you through the initial installation and setup process. Whether you're integrating Granola with your existing workflows or starting fresh, follow these steps to get started quickly. ## Platform availability Granola currently runs on Mac, linked to a Google account. (Feel free to join the [iOS](https://www.granola.ai/app), [Windows](https://tally.so/r/3EXKgL) and [Outlook](https://tally.so/r/wzWb78) waitlists!) ### Initial Installation and Setup **Step 1: Download Granola** * Visit the [Granola website](https://granola.so/) and click Download Granola for Mac. (Granola isn't yet available on Windows, [join the waitlist](https://tally.so/r/3EXKgL?utm_source=email%2Cweb) to be the first to hear when we are.) ![Download Granola](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/downloadimage.png) **Step 2: Install Granola** * For macOS: Open the .dmg file, drag the Granola app into your Applications folder, and launch it. **Step 3: Initial Launch** * Open Granola from your Applications folder or Start Menu. * You may be presented with security prompts to authorize Granola to access certain permissions. Accept these prompts to ensure optimal performance. ### Email & login options Granola is designed for professional teams and works best with company email accounts. When signing up, you'll use your Google Workspace account for seamless calendar integration and meeting management. If you only have a personal Gmail address, you can still use Granola via our gmail beta - just login and click to join the waitlist when prompted, and you'll be granted access. ## Office 365 or Outlook Users * **Native Outlook Support** is not yet available. If you want to test Granola with an Office 365 account, you can: 1. **Publish** your Outlook calendar to an ICS link. 2. **Import** that ICS link into Google Calendar. 3. **Toggle it on** in Granola to see your events (see [Using Granola with Outlook](/docs/integrations/using-granola-with-outlook)). If you do not wish to create a Google Workspace account at all, note that you can still download Granola and log in with **personal Gmail** (when granted Beta access). You'd then sync your Outlook events into that personal Gmail. This is an extra step, but it's currently the only workaround. ## Account setup FAQs Not just yet, but you can join [our waitlist](https://go.granola.so/windows) and do keep an eye on our Twitter page for announcements around our latest product releases. Granola is designed to work best with Google Calendar. For Outlook users, we have a workaround available, but it may not be as seamless depending on your organisation's IT policies. Yes! While we don't support multiple logins directly, you can still access all your calendars through your primary Granola account by sharing them between your Google accounts. You can find instructions on how to share your calendar here: [https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/37082?hl=en](https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/37082?hl=en) Once that's set up, just hover over "Coming Up" in Granola, click the Settings cog, and you'll be able to toggle your additional calendars on and off from there. A mobile app is on our roadmap, but we don't have a specific release date yet. We'll announce it through our Slack channels and email updates when it's available.

Currently, we do not have a built-in "transfer notes" feature. Unfortunately, you'll need to manually copy any notes and store these elsewhere, and start fresh on a new account.

# Consent & Granola Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/FAQs/consent-granola We recommend always asking for consent before transcribing others. Depending on where your meeting participants are located, you may need to get consent from participants in meetings prior to using Granola to transcribe.  We've built a feature for [Automatic Consent Messaging](https://www.granola.ai/docs/docs/101/duringyourmeeting/chat-consent) that sends an automated message at the start of each meeting to let others know you're using Granola. ![consentmessage](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/screenshots/labs-consent.png) You can find more information on recording laws state by state [here](https://url.us.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/9qhYCpYmqOfOpRJnfDYFqL?domain=justia.com/). Please note, this is a third-party resource and Granola is not responsible for the accuracy of third-party websites. Ultimately, you are responsible for obtaining consent from participants where required by law. Regardless of whether you are legally required to do so, we strongly recommend that you always ask for consent before transcribing. ### What does Granola transcribe? Granola transcribes your computer audio in realtime. It does not store recorded audio or video. Instead, it saves the transcript and uses it to enhance your notes. For more information about how Granola collects, uses, and stores transcripts and other data, please see Granola’s Privacy Policy, located at [www.granola.so/pp](https://www.granola.so/pp). # Popular feature requests Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/FAQs/featurerequests We love that our users have so many great ideas about how to make Granola better. This page contains some information about the most frequently requested features and when you might be able to expect them. ### Multi-language Support Multi-language support is a highly requested feature and we're actively exploring ways to incorporate this in 2025, but we are dependent on when our transcription provider releases new languages and can't control this ourselves. It's likely that the world's most-used languages will be prioritized. You can register your interest in hearing about when we launch languages [here](https://tally.so/r/mDAZlZ) ### Automatic start for all meetings The ability to opt into automatically starting Granola for all meetings is under consideration. We're mindful of the complexities this might cause when people accidentally transcribe meetings or moments that they didn't want to be transcribed, and so we want to build better functionality around deleting or editing transcripts first. ### Automatic export to Notion This is our most requests integration and as Notion users ourselves, we hear you! Right now we're focusing on organizing notes on-platform better, but more integrations is something we're evaluating for 2025. ### Mobile or tablet version of Granola It's coming! Join the waitlist [here](https://www.granola.ai/app)! ### Windows support It's coming! Join the waitlist [here](https://tally.so/r/3EXKgL)! ### Add templates before the meeting We've experimented with this as a feature and we haven't found a way for it to not interrupt the flow of your own notes during the call. We're still looking into whether we can make this work, as we understand having prompts for interviews or regular calls would be helpful! ### Better in-app sharing Better team functionality including sharing notes with your team is a priority for us in early 2025! Keep an eye out for updates on this front. ### Querying all meetings We think this is one of the most helpful things Granola is going to be able to do, and we're working on it as a priority. ### Audio or video recording & storage At the moment Granola is optimised for brilliant note-taking and creation, and we don't have plans to start supporting video or audio recordings. # Granola subscription plans Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/FAQs/granola-plans-faq Everything you need to know about Granola's pricing plans, features, and policies ### What plans does Granola offer? Currently, Granola is available for Mac and iOS. A Windows version is in active development with a dedicated Windows engineer, though no specific release date is available yet. Android support is planned for the future. ## Individual Plan ### What's included in the Individual plan? The Individual plan includes unlimited meetings. ### Can I opt out of model training on the Individual plan? Yes, any user on any plan, including the free Individual plan, can opt out of model training. You can do this in your settings. ### Can I share my notes with others on the Individual plan? Yes, you can share your notes via links. You also have the option to disable link sharing entirely if you prefer to keep your notes private. ## Business Plan ### What's included in the Business plan? The Business plan includes unlimited meetings, collaboration features, and the ability to create and share lists of meetings. It's designed for teams that want to collaborate and share insights from their meetings. ### What collaboration features are included? The Business plan includes features like Lists, which allow you to organize meeting notes by categories (e.g., projects, clients, or topics). You can share these lists with team members. We're also adding query capabilities to help you find specific information across multiple meetings. ### Can I opt out of model training on the Business plan? Yes, users on the Business plan can opt out of model training individually. Each user would need to adjust this setting in their own account. ## Enterprise Plan ### What's included in the Enterprise plan? The Enterprise plan includes everything in the Business plan plus admin controls, enhanced security features, usage analytics, and priority support. It's designed for organizations with stricter compliance needs or those who want centralized control over settings. ### What admin controls are available? Enterprise admins can enforce settings across the entire organization, including: * Opting out of model training for all users * Managing link sharing permissions (you can completely turn it off or enforce your team to login with their work email to view notes) * \[Soon] Controlling consent messaging for recordings We're actively developing additional admin controls for data retention and access management. For specific requirements, please [contact our sales team](mailto:sales@granola.so). We're actively working on additional security features including data retention policies and access logs. For specific security requirements, please [contact our sales team](mailto:sales@granola.so). ### Do you support SSO or SAML? Currently, we use Google Workspace for authentication. If you have specific authentication requirements, please [contact our sales team](mailto:sales@granola.so). ## Consent & Legal Considerations ### Do I need to inform participants that I'm using Granola? We recommend informing all participants when you're using Granola to record and transcribe meetings. Granola provides a [feature](https://granola.so/docs/features/consent-messaging) that automatically sends a message in the meeting chat to notify participants. This is especially important in jurisdictions with two-party consent laws for recordings. ### How does Granola help with consent notification? Granola offers an automated messaging feature that sends a customizable notification in meeting chats (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.) to inform participants that the meeting is being transcribed. On the Business plan, users can enable this individually. On the Enterprise plan, \[SOON] admins can enforce this setting across the organization and standardize the message text. ### Is Granola compliant with two-party consent laws? Granola has users all over the world, including many states in the US. Granola provides tools to help you comply with consent laws, but ultimately compliance is your responsibility. In jurisdictions requiring all parties to consent to recording, such as two-party states in the US, we strongly recommend using our notification feature and confirming verbal consent at the beginning of meetings. Enterprise customers can soon enforce a company-wide notification feature to ensure compliance. ## Contract & Legal Document Handling ### Will Granola redline contracts or legal documents? Yes, for Enterprise customers with a minimum annual spend of \$15,000, we can work with your legal team to redline contracts and accommodate reasonable customizations to our standard terms. Our team has experience working with legal departments at regulated companies. ### Can we sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) for HIPAA compliance? We aren't currently actively working toward HIPAA compliance. Healthcare organizations currently using Granola typically implement strict internal policies about what information can be discussed in Granola-recorded meetings. ### Do you have standard security questionnaires completed? Yes, we have responses prepared for standard security questionnaires. We can provide these upon request, along with our security documentation. Our team regularly responds to security reviews from enterprise customers, [get in touch with our sales team here.](mailto:sales@granola.so) ## Privacy & Security ### What data does Granola store? Granola stores meeting transcripts and any notes you add. We do not record or store audio or video from your meetings. All data is stored securely on AWS servers in the US region. ### How is my data encrypted? Your data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard encryption methods at the database and column level on AWS. For specific technical details about our encryption implementation, please contact our security team. ### Can I control data retention? We're actively developing data retention controls for Enterprise customers. These will include options for auto-deletion after specified periods and the ability for admins to access and manage all transcripts across the organization. ### Do you offer self-hosting or local storage options? Currently, all data is hosted on our AWS infrastructure. We've heard your requests for options around self-hosting and local storage options, particularly to accommodate healthcare organizations and highly-regulated industries. We don't currently have a specific timeline for these features. ### How do you handle access controls? On the Business plan, each user manages their own sharing settings. On the Enterprise plan, admins can enforce organization-wide policies about link sharing and access. We're developing more granular controls similar to Google Docs permissions, allowing you to share with specific email addresses and domains. ## AI & Models ### Which AI models does Granola use? Granola uses a [combination of models](https://trust.granola.ai/subprocessors) for different aspects of the service. We continuously evaluate and switch between models to provide the best experience for different meeting types and use cases. ### How does Granola handle model training? By default, we may use anonymized data to improve our services. However, all users (on any plan) can opt out of model training in their settings. For Enterprise customers, admins can enforce this opt-out across the entire organization with a single setting. We have enterprise agreements with all of our service providers that prevent your data from being used in their model training. ### How is data anonymized for model training? * No third parties train on your data. We have enterprise agreements with all of our service providers that prevent your data from being used in their model training. * For non-Enterprise users, Granola may use anonymized data to improve our services. However, all users (on any plan) can opt out of model training in their settings. * For Enterprise customers, Granola opts-out your entire organization from model training. ### Can I use my own AI models with Granola? Currently, Granola uses our carefully selected models for transcription and summarization. We don't support bringing your own models at this time, though we're evaluating this for future enterprise features. # Language Support Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/FAQs/languages Which languages does Granola support? Currently, Granola supports **English** only. We know many customers want transcripts in their native language, so we’re exploring: * Spanish * French * German * Additional languages If you’d like to request a specific language, join our [waitlist](https://tally.so/r/mDAZlZ). Or contact us at [hey@granola.so](mailto:help@granola.so) to share your feedback. ### Why don't we support more languages yet? We've made the decision to include live transcription in Granola. Many of our users have meetings in multiple languages, and transcribing in real-time as people switch between languages is a complex technical challenge. Our transcription service provider is working on it, but we can't be specific about timelines. # Report a bug Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/FAQs/report-a-bug We love detailed bug reports. Here's how to share them with Granola. # Reporting Bugs We want to squash bugs fast. Here’s how to help: 1. **Use in-app “Report a Bug”**: * Open Granola → **Settings** → **Feedback**. Summarize the issue. 2. **Email**: * Send to [hey@granola.so](mailto:hey@granola.so). * Include steps to reproduce, screenshots and your OS version if possible. ## Best Practices for Bugs * **Clear description**: Summarize what happened vs. what you expected. * **Steps to reproduce**: Provide a step-by-step so we can replicate. * **Attach screenshots or videos**: A picture is worth a thousand words. * **Severity**: Note if this is blocking you or just a minor annoyance by using the toggle. Thanks for helping us improve Granola! Someone from our team will get back to you as soon as possible. # Sharing controls Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/FAQs/sharing-controls Control how meeting notes in your workspace are shared. There are a few different methods for changing the access on a particular set of notes: ### Turn sharing links on and off per set of notes In each set of notes, you can turn link sharing on and off. This means that if you've shared a link with someone and you no longer want them to access it, you can disable the link they have. ![](https://mintlify.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/granola-ed1094ab/images/linksharing.gif) ### Turning off sharing links by default Change your Default link sharing settings to either 'Anyone with the link can view' or 'Private' depending on your preference. You can find this under the General settings page. Personal sharing controls settings ### Turn off sharing links, or make them require login, for your whole organisation \[Enterprise only] If you're on our Enterprise plan, an admin (the person who first created your workspace, or any other admins they've added) can configure how your company's notes can be shared to others, via the Security & Access tab in your Settings. Sharing controls settings There are three options: * **Enabled**: All notes will have sharing enabled. The link generated wikk be public and can be shared outside of your company. * **Only for my company**: Notes will have sharing enabled, but can only be viewed by someone authenticating with your workspace's email. * **Disabled**: Notes have sharing disabled, meaning no sharing link is generated. Note that individuals can also disable sharing links, but they can never enable them to override the above workspace setting. # Affinity CRM Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/integrations/Affinity-Integration Once connected to Affinity, Granola makes sending your meeting notes to your CRM as easy as one click. ### Add your API key **Bear this in mind:** Your API key is tied to your account. If you're in a workspace, each person needs to generate their own API key in order to post to Affinity under their account. Here's how to set it up: Sign into Affinity at [https://www.affinity.co/](https://www.affinity.co/) Click `settings` in your left hand menu Click the API tab, then click `Generate API Key` Head to `Settings` in Granola (click your avatar in the top right), then `Integrations` and paste your Affinity API key in the box provided . It will save automatically You’ll now see save to Affinity buttons on the homescreen of granola, and on the right-side of any summary
# HubSpot Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/integrations/Hubspot-Integration Post Granola summaries to HubSpot ### Setting up HubSpot Integration You can find our Integrations in your Settings, via your avatar in the top right. Here you'll see Slack as an integration: HubSpot integration in sidebar Click to connect HubSpot to your Granola account. This will launch a webpage for you to connect Hubspot to Granola. Connect HubSpot button Once connected, you can share any note to HubSpot by clicking the HubSpot option in the top right of the note Share to HubSpot button Select which HubSpot contact you want to associate the note with. This set of notes will be added as a note to that contact. Contact selection dialog # Notion Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/integrations/Notion-Integration Once connected, Granola makes sending your meeting notes to Notion as easy as one click. Here's how to set up Granola to save notes to Notion: Open your settings via your initial in the top right, then click into Notion under `Integrations` on the right. After clicking 'Connect Notion', you'll be redirected to your browser to authorize Granola. Click Next. Make sure to select the 'Use a template provided by the developer' option. We currently don't support selecting specific pages. You're connected! You'll now see Notion appear as a sharing option in a Granola note. When you share a note to Notion, it'll be saved to your personal Notion database.
**Important:** You must not change the Notion database structure as this will break the integration. In order to reference the notes elsewhere in Notion, you'll want to use 'Link to page' in Notion. **Can I change how the database displays in Notion?** Currently, Granola notes can only be shared to this specific database, and cannot be configured to share to another part of Notion directly from Granola. In this database, you can: * Rearrange the columns in the notion database * Sort it (e.g. by date/title) * Add extra columns * Rename a document once it's in there You can't: * Rename the column headings * Remove columns * Share to elsewhere in Notion - i.e. the notes can only come through to that database, and you need to 'Link to page' if you want them elsewhere # Slack Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/integrations/Slack-Integration Post Granola summaries to Slack channels ### Setting up Slack Integration Our Slack integration will allow you to share your notes directly to a Slack channel without leaving Granola. This integration supports sharing to channels only, and requires a Google Workspace account. You can find our Integrations in your Settings, via your avatar in the top right. Here you'll see Slack as an integration: Slack integration in sidebar Click to connect Slack to your Granola account. You'll be prompted via a webpage to connect your Slack workspace to Granola Connect Slack button Once connected, you can share any note to Slack by clicking the Slack option in the top right of the note Share to Slack button Select which Slack channel you want to share to Channel selection dialog ### Posting to Private Channels To post to private channels in Granola, you'll first need to add it to the channel. Head to the channel in Slack Type '/' in the new message box Click 'Add apps to this channel' Head back to Granola, and search for your new channel in the 'post to slack' dialog # Open Granola via URL Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/integrations/urls Granola supports URLs with the `granola://` URL protocol. For example, to create a new note, paste `granola://new-document` into your URL bar, or run this from your terminal: ``` open 'granola://new-document' ``` ## `new-document` The `granola://new-document` URL creates a new Granola note. It supports these query parameters: * `event`: a Google calendar event to associate with the note. This is a JSON object with [this TypeScript format](https://github.com/googleapis/google-api-nodejs-client/blob/calendar-v9.7.0/src/apis/calendar/v3.ts#L598-L819). If `event` is omitted, the note has no associated calendar event. * `creation_source`: the name of the app that opens the URL, like a `utm_source` query parameter. This helps us track where new notes are created. # Outlook calendar Source: https://granola.ai/docs/docs/integrations/using-granola-with-outlook Granola uses Google Calendar to view and take notes on your meetings. If you use Outlook for your work calendar, you’ll need to connect it to Google first. We're working on adding Outlook support to Granola. [Join the waitlist](https://tally.so/r/wzWb78) to be first to get access. In the meantime, here's how you can connect your Outlook calendar to Google Calendar to allow Granola to take notes: **Watch this 3 minute video, or follow the steps below**
